Privacy policy
1. Who we are
Chittyy is a brand of Bakematic Digital Private Limited ("we", "us"), 1st Floor, 1/13, Arunodaya, 7th Cross Road, Guddadahalli, Bengaluru 560026. You can reach us at hello@chittyy.com.
2. What we collect
- Our customers' account details: name, business name, email, phone number, GSTIN and team member details.
- Message content and phone numbers: when a business uses Chittyy to message its own customers, we process those messages and phone numbers on the business's behalf. For this data, the business is the data fiduciary and we act as its data processor.
- Billing details: invoices, plan and usage records. Card or UPI details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored by us.
- Technical data: basic logs such as IP address and browser type, used to keep the service secure.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the service: sending, receiving and showing messages, running campaigns and reports.
- To bill you and meet tax and legal duties.
- To keep the platform safe and stop spam or abuse.
- To support you when you write to us.
4. Meta's role
Messages travel through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. Meta handles them under its own terms and privacy policy. Your WhatsApp Business account stays in your own Meta business account.
5. Storage and security
Data is hosted with our cloud provider. Access tokens are stored encrypted. We use access controls so only people who need data for their work can see it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell affected customers if a breach occurs, as the law requires.
6. How long we keep data
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as long as the law requires afterwards. Message data is kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period after you close it or ask us to delete it.
7. Who we share data with
- Meta, to deliver WhatsApp messages.
- Our payment processor, to take payment.
- Our cloud and email providers, who work only on our instructions.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data.
8. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to access your data, correct it, erase it, and raise a grievance. If we hold your data only as a processor for a business, we will pass your request to that business.
9. Delete my data
Email hello@chittyy.com with the subject "Delete my data" and the phone number or email linked to your data. We act within 30 days. We may keep records that the law requires us to keep.
